Espionage is back in force this week, with Hugh Laurie resurfacing in Tehran, while Patrick Dempsey takes a lead role in a new crime drama.

Tehran (Apple TV+, 9 Jan.)
The Mossad thriller returns as Tamar infiltrates Iran once more, risking everything after a mission goes wrong. Hugh Laurie joins the cast as a nuclear inspector, raising the stakes in a season already renewed for a fourth run. Niv Sultan returns as Mossad agent Tamar — who infiltrates Tehran under a false identity to help destroy Iran’s nuclear reactor.

Astrid: Murder in Paris – Season 5 (Channel 4,, 23 Jan.)
The French favourite is back as Astrid Nielsen (Sara Mortensen). an archivist with autism, and Inspector Raphaëlle Lacoste investigate a mysterious poisoning linked to a long-dormant mafia hitman. What begins as a single murder quickly escalates into a case with unpredictable international fallout.

Memory of a Killer (FOX, 25–26 Jan.; Hulu, 26 Jan.)
Patrick Dempsey (aka McDreamy) stars as Angelo, a hitman living a carefully balanced double life until Alzheimer’s begins tearing it apart. With his memory fading and danger closing in, every decision could be his last. Michael Imperioli of The Sopranos, plays Dutch, Angelo’s friend—an accomplished chef whose restaurant quietly serves as a front for a criminal operation.
