Dark Winds – Season 4 (AMC, 22 Feb.)
The fourth season of Dark Winds follows Lt. Joe Leaphorn, played by Zahn McClarnon, as he, Jim Chee and Bernadette Manuelito race to find a missing Navajo girl, a case that pulls them from Navajo Nation to 1970s Los Angeles and into the path of an obsessive killer. The series also stars Kiowa Gordon, Jessica Matten and Deanna Allison, with the new season marking McClarnon’s television directorial debut and continuing its critically acclaimed run.

Young Sherlock (Prime Video, 4 March)
In Young Sherlock, Hero Fiennes Tiffin plays a brilliant but undisciplined Holmes at Oxford University whose first case begins when a teacher is murdered, offering a fresh origin story for Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic detective. The supporting cast includes Joseph Fiennes as Holmes’ father, Dónal Finn as a young Moriarty and Colin Firth as a powerful lord, with Guy Ritchie bringing another stylish twist to the mythos.

Gone (ITV1 and ITVX, 8 March 2026)
ITV’s six-part psychological thriller Gone stars Eve Myles as gutsy detective Annie Cassidy investigating the disappearance of Sarah Polly, with suspicion falling on her husband, headmaster Michael Polly, played by David Morrissey. Written by George Kay, the Bristol-set drama unfolds as a tense cat-and-mouse battle inspired in part by real-life detective work.

The Family Next Door (Acorn TV, out now)
Based on Sally Hepworth’s novel, Australian series The Family Next Door stars Teresa Palmer as Isabelle, a mysterious newcomer whose obsession with uncovering a past case unsettles a quiet Victorian seaside cul-de-sac. As suspicion spreads among her neighbours, the psychological thriller explores the dark secrets lurking beneath picture-perfect suburban lives.
