New Crime Series and Star-Studded Espionage Thriller: Must-Watch TV for March
This week’s picks deliver a captivating blend of true crime and high-stakes international intrigue. But with so many great options on your watchlist this month — including The One That Got Away, Reacher, Bergerac, and Towards Zero — it’s hard to know where to start.

Narrated by the talented Siobhan Finneran, true crime fans will be drawn to Forensics: The Real CSI – Murder in a Brothel on BBC Two, which delves into the chilling unsolved murder of Jinming Zhang in Digbeth, Birmingham, UK, back in 2022. The first episode of the new series focuses on the investigation into Zhang’s death, where a prime suspect’s “distinctive walk” has baffled authorities, leaving the case unsolved three years later despite advancements in modern crime-solving tech.
If you’re craving a good espionage thriller, Black Bag delivers in spades. Directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by David Koepp, this film stars our favourite screen super spy Michael Fassbender as George Woodhouse, an intelligence agent faced with a moral dilemma. His wife, Kathryn (Cate Blanchett), is suspected of betraying the nation, leaving George to decide between loyalty to his marriage and duty to his country. The all-star cast also features Marisa Abela, Tom Burke, Naomie Harris, Regé-Jean Page, and Pierce Brosnan.
Lastly, A Remarkable Place to Die promises a web of mystery, murder, and deception. This Australian crime drama follows Anaís Mallory (Chelsie Preston Crayford), a sharp and determined homicide detective who returns to her hometown of Queenstown, New Zealand, to investigate a series of deaths — including the mysterious deaths of her father and sister. As she takes on the role of lead detective, the case becomes personal, blurring the lines between professional duty and emotional turmoil.
