This week continues to churn out crime drama blockbusters. From the unsettling mystery of Forever Home to the return of the brilliant spy drama Slow Horses and the dark investigation at the heart of The Blame, there’s plenty to keep crime drama fans hooked.

Forever Home (Channel 5, 14 September 2026)

Amy Nuttall and Douglas Henshall lead this … interesting adaptation of Graham Norton’s novel, with Nuttall playing Carol, a woman whose seemingly settled life is thrown into turmoil when her husband’s former wife goes missing. As suspicion falls closer to home, Carol and her mother begin investigating, uncovering tensions and secrets among the family and leaving her questioning how well she really knows the people around her.

Slow Horses – Season 6 (Apple TV+, 16 September 2026)

Gary Oldman returns as the brilliantly abrasive Jackson Lamb in the sixth season of Apple TV+’s acclaimed spy drama, based on Mick Herron’s novels. The misfit agents of Slough House face another dangerous threat, forcing Lamb and his team into action as old rivalries, new dangers and the agency’s murky secrets collide. This is also the first season without the involvement of the late Will Smith, whose contribution helped shape the series from its beginning.

The Blame (ITV1 and ITVX, 20 September 2026)

Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth star as detectives DI Crane and DI Radley who fall in love in this dark new crime drama. When teenage figure skater Sophie Madsen is found dead in Wakestead, the investigation exposes a web of lies, institutional cover-ups and moral compromises. As the detectives dig deeper, their increasingly charged relationship becomes entangled with the case, raising questions about how far they are prepared to go to uncover the truth.
